How to Adjust Your Medallion Cabinetry Doors, Drawers & Shelves
AJ Panaccione with Allura Bath and Kitchen is here to explain how to adjust your cabinet doors for Medallion Cabinetry in the Silver line and Gold line. These are full overlay doors so the hinges are specific to these cabinet lines. If you have Design Craft or Inset Platinum, you’ll want to check out other videos!
Doors
There are three screws that allow you to adjust the door. They’re called a six-way hinge because each one moves it two directions. The first one is the most important; it allows the door to go up or down. That’s the hinge in the middle that screws into the side of the face frame. You’re going to loosen that on each one of the hinges and you’ll be able to lift the door up or let the door fall down to leave the reveal that you want. The second screw brings the door away from the face frame or toward the face frame. If there’s a bow in the door, you can get the bow out and allow them to hit at the same time they both match. The third hinge, which is probably the most used one, is on the front of the hinge—that allows the door to move right and left. You’re going to either turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the gap in the door or to level it out.
Drawers
Medallion cabinetry drawers are full-extension, which means they have full access when they’re pulled all the way out, and they’re also all soft-close, which means they don’t slam when you close them. They also all come out very easily; what you’ll do is pull it out and put your hands around [the bottom] and you’ll squeeze and then lift right up. The drawers can be adjusted up and down on each side by pushing this little thing on each side. So you want to use that to get the proper reveal that you want. Putting it back is quite easy, all you have to do is carefully put the drawer box back in and you’ll push it in until you hear two clicks.
Shelves
These are very easy, they just sit on pins. All you have to do is lift up one side and down the other and pull out the shelf. These pins—there are four of them for each shelf—you can move them up or down on the holes within the cabinets. Once you’ve got the location that you like, you slide the shelf in again and let it sit.
